"Who touched me?"

The Holy Spirit has created a desire in me and that is to hunger for more of God! I know that putting time aside daily just to get a deeper revelation of who God is will produce a more meaningful relationship with Christ! Sometimes I want to pray, but I don’t feel like doing so! I don’t feel like getting out of bed all the time when the Holy Spirit wakes me up in the middle of the night but I push myself nonetheless! The vision that God placed before me doesn’t allow me to walk by feelings! When you are driven by a vision you understand the importance of pressing into God because you know that you can’t accomplish it on your own! This always takes me back to Mark 5, the woman with the issue of blood!  She had tried everything in the past to accomplish healing but was never successful and when Jesus was in town, she knew that if she could just get a hold of his garment, she will be well! “Who touched me?”
In this world where Christians are unstable in their walk with Christ, jumping from church to church, still trying to decide if they want to live for Jesus, we should be the ones grabbing Jesus’ attention! Grab his attention in a way that even when millions all over the world are praying at this instant moment, Jesus is still able to ask, “Who touched me?” Your persistent prayer and hunger for God will not go by unnoticed, just press in! I spend so much time seeking God with an expectant heart, and really it has nothing to do with riches and material things but just to know and commune with Him more! To be assured that despite all the bad things that happened in my life, there’s still a bright future ahead of me! Sometimes I feel like a fool because I don’t have any specific thing to say but just sit in His presence and let Him know I’m readily available for His touch! (He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.” John 14:21) Days differ; Jesus doesn’t always manifest himself to me in the same way! Sometimes I feel heat in my spirit, sometimes I fall to the ground, other times I get in that realm of heavenly worship! And sometimes…well, nothing happens! This is the time when I seek him even more: The prayer we should make is this: Lord, if you don’t speak to me today then I’m not sleeping, I’m not eating, I will just keep pressing in!
One night I stayed awake and after hours in His presence, I still didn’t experience any “manifestation!” I prayed in tongues, knelt, stood up, sang songs, I did everything I could think of until I just sat down in silence, weeping. Alright Lord, you speak to me! I have done a lot of supplication concerning my exams, my future, my worries, fears and it would be really nice if you could show me that you have been listening to me! See, I was expecting to start shaking and falling but the atmosphere was so calm. (Be still and know that I am God! Psalm 46:10). As I sat there He spoke, I know my God’s voice quite well now! He said turn to Jeremiah 31:9. It reads, “They shall come with weeping, and with supplications will I lead them: I will cause them to walk by the rivers of waters in a straight way, wherein they shall not stumble: for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my firstborn.” God was assuring me that He has seen my weeping! He knows my worries and He promises to lead me! He says He will cause me to walk by the rivers of waters, meaning in abundance! He said He will not let me stumble because He is my Father! He calls me His first born because He delights in those who hunger for Him and press into His presence! I realized that I don’t need a sign to see the manifestation of God because I know He talks back when I take time to sit still in His presence and quietly listen!
Jesus doesn’t mind you looking like a fool for Him in His presence! I’m sure the woman with the issue of blood also felt like a fool when she had to press in through the crowed just so that she could touch Jesus’ garment! Do you think Jesus would have gone specifically to her had she not said anything, in that large crowed and asked her if she needed healing? Of course not, there were so many people who were following Him and needing His touch but none had the courage and faith that the woman had! Jesus stopped because the woman pressed in! In the cold nights, in the midst of exam pressure, in your sickness, in your financial crisis, continue being persistent in prayer until you finally get Jesus’ attention!
"God speaks to those who take time to listen, and He listens to those who take time to pray!"

  1. "The vision that God placed before me doesn’t allow me to walk by feelings! When you are driven by a vision you understand the importance of pressing into God because you know that you can’t accomplish it on your own" - this summed it up for me
