Who are you? Whose are you?

Last Sunday at church, after days of battle in my spirit, whether to listen to Gods voice or continue living my life, Pastor At said something quite interesting towards the end of the service. He said, "guys, if a girl allows you to touch her below her neck, leave her, and girls if a guy wants to touch you below your neck on the third date or so, leave him because he's out to take something from you and leave you. At that instant moment I thought how disgusted guys could perhaps feel when they look at you after you give them your body, when you had just met!

On my way home in the bus, I looked at all the women around me and thought to myself, what a great life this would be if all these woman took Pastor At's advice. There will be no more divorces, no more unwanted pregnancies, no more HIV and no pandemonium basically. How long are we women going to give ourselves away, all that a guy comes and do is take and take and continue taking away from you! I believe that when you give your body to a man, you give him power over you. You allow him to mistreat you, and to make you feel worthless. That is because they have gone into your most private space, they have seen you naked, they have seen who you really are.

I remember when I first accepted Jesus Christ in my life, I experienced tremendous power day after day. I would get up midnight and pray hard. I would feel so much heat in my stomach( like water boiling) each time I prayed. I would prophesy in peoples lives and things would start happening and I would stand boldly and unashamed for Christ Jesus. Its only at the end of the year 2005, after 2 years of experiencing Gods power, that I decided to give myself away to the guy who was my first boyfriend then. After the incidence I felt that the power I had , had been removed. I felt naked, ashamed and filled with so much guilt. As a matter of fact, I drew away from God because I felt unworthy of Him. I decided from then on that I would live my life and worship God there and then but I just wont get back in line with His plan because I'm just a sinner. Thank God, he never let me go!

I know most Christians battle with sexual immorality, men and women alike. Fornication, pornography, masturbation, homosexuality, but we have come to a point where we no longer care because the devil puts lies in your head, telling you that you are not perfect, that its okay to walk with God and do all those things. We know most Christians who are having sex with their spirit-filled partners and when we ask them they say God created sex, we cant deny that. We know people who ask us, where is it written in the bible that sex before marriage is a sin. And we start believing the lies of the world. With our own acts we start closing doors of blessings and opening doors of destruction in our lives. How can we walk with Jesus and still expect to get drunk, fornicate and do all those things? How do we expect not to be judged by non-believers and other believers alike? How do we expect to walk with God but still hold hands with the Devil? God is calling you into His divine plan today, He can fix you. Jesus wants to be intimate with you, He wants to give you fullness of joy!  God has a plan for your life, but he does not impose it on you, you have to decided!  Know who you are and know  WHOSE are you!

"Let your Christianity be so unmistakable,
your eye so single, your heart so whole,
your walk so straightforward
that all who see you may have no doubt
whose you are, and whom you serve."

"Any concept of grace that makes us feel
more comfortable sinning is not Biblical grace.
God's grace never encourages us to live in sin,
on the contrary, it empowers us
to say no to sin and yes to truth."
